South Carolina State Fair
October 2008

Josh, Brandi, Wes, Steve and I visited the South Carolina State Fair for an evening of fair-tastic fun!

After meeting up with Wes, we started off by wandering around to get a feel for what the fair offers this year.

At least the spelling is right.

I was too amused by the funny face this girl was making at first to notice the guy touching himself on the right.

Note she's wearing her faux pearls with this t-shirt and
she decides on a messy chignon to complete the look.
That's what we call South Carolina chic!

The fellas decided the first ride of the evening would be the swing tower.
There was a nerdy little debate over which one was taller:
this one or the one at Magical Midway in Orlando.

The one in Orlando is taller if you were interested.

In Bizarro world, this is what boob credits are like.

So what's up next?

Next up was the Fuerball, not to be confused with the Fireball on the opposite side of
the fair.  What's a Fuerball, you ask?

I don't know.  I just think someone made a spelling error and they ran with it.

It gets dark REAL fast this time of year.  This picture was taken less then ten
minutes after the previous one.

No fair is complete without your Polar Express ride.

And you can't have a Polar Express ride without a Matterhorn, right?

And if you're gonna go to the trouble of having a Polar Express and a Matterhorn, it's
only sensible to go ahead and have an Alpine Bobs, right?

Time for some food.  I love this picture 'cause it looks like Jarsh
is ordering his food from "REAR Concessions."  It was actually "Bear"
Concessions, which is also remarkably accurate.

Jarsh rolled with the fried corn on the cob.  Yes, I said the FRIED
corn on the cob.  Fried or not, it's still a rarity to see him eating
a vegetable.
