Cedar Point

If there was any one park I was most psyched about visiting, it was absolutely
Cedar Point.

Cedar Point has been voted Best Amusement Park in the World for like the last eleventy years.

Let's go ahead and get the obligatory cool-fountain picture out of the way.
Look, it's a required picture in all photo reports for Cedar Point.

I DON'T MAKE THESE RULES!

So we're starting off over on the Wicked Twister midway.
First up, Maxair.

Pretty good stuff, although Karen wasn't even fond of standing near it.

Also parked over here is a nice enough Troika ride.

What's that looming in the background?  Why, it's the aptly named
Giant Wheel.

At 136 feet in height, Cedar Point's website states the Giant Wheel is one of the
tallest in North America.  Don't worry guys, we won't look at Wikipedia or anything.
(needless to say, Wiki lists at least 8 in North America that are larger)

Loved me the Chaos ride.

Directly across from the Chaos is Wicked Twister.  Good stuff, though
it hardly even counts as a real rolley-coaster.

Rounding out the area is a lame non-inverting pirate ship and a
non-inverting scrambler.  Wait, scramblers aren't supposed to have inversions, are they?

Oh, and check out the old school Intamin freefall ride.  It's really surprising
that they'd have this and Power Tower, but Cedar Point seems to be big on dupes.
How else can you explain the three antique/classic car rides?

We took a quick ride up the Sky Spiral.  At 330 feet, this is the
second-tallest ride in the park.  Karen managed to not freak too hard.

Here's the view from the top.

Holy crap, no one told me President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho was going
to be visiting the park today.  Award yourself ten points if you caught that reference.
