It has arrived.
And damn, it's pretty good!
The outside of the park looks awfully familiar if you're
acquainted with the Universal parks in Florida.
While the main gate looks very much like Studios, the
ticketing area
looks exactly like Islands of Adventure.
I checked. The $200 VIP Pass does
not include strippers and blow.
But for $200 for a single day, it damn well should.

On both our visits, folks from the I Want Candy store have
been out
in the entrance area giving out free samples. Nice.
(by the way, the chocolate covered sunflower seeds rock the hizzy)
All Access Merchandise is HUGE.
While I'm not a fan of parks having outside companies running
restaurants inside the park, they still shoulda gone with Starbucks.
After you go under the bridge, this is what you see.
If you don't feel like using a map, you can stop into
the Origins Theatre and plan your visit by consulting the model.
Strike One.

The Whammy Bar is a nice little joint. Too bad
they put gold in all their drinks.
Well, that's the only excuse I can think of to charge $9 for a GD Rum and Pepsi.
It was a really gorgeous day, even though the wind kicked up
every now and then.
