TPS Report Christmas in the Disney Resorts ![]() One afternoon, we took a break from Epcot to check out the Boardwalk area. ![]() They have a neat shipwreck on their beach. ![]() The ESPN Club is here. It was a Sunday afternoon, so the joint was jumping. ![]() We weren't that hungry, but couldn't pass up a little sweetness. ![]() Success! Steve got the tiramisu while I went for the chocolate mouse cake. Well, that's what they called it. It was more like a chocolate bûche de noël (that's a fancy French cake that's decorated to look like a real log you'd find in a forest, hence the grass icing and sugar mushroom.) I figured it was a situation where the baker had more skill than the people who made the labels for the bakery case did.
Of course we had to check out the decorations at the Boardwalk Resort.
Gorgeous chandelier! I can't remember exactly, but it was either inspired by or is a replica of a piece of wood work found on a turn of the century carousel. If anyone knows, please e-mail me: karen@themeparksushi.com. I love antique carousels. ![]() Here's the fire place you'll find in their lobby.
I feel in love with these chairs! They don't look comfortable, they have character. Karen wants.
Disney's Boardwalk Inn went with a gingerbread and sugar display. It looked (and smelled delish)!
It's cool how they tell you what went into making the display.
Donald and Daisy look great.
Unlike some of the other resorts, this one isn't completely made from edible materials.
Still, I'm not one to call them on using boxes or paper.
It's still amazing! |
