TPS Report Christmas in the Disney Resorts
Each Disney resort has unique holiday decorations. While we were there, we took a little time to check them out. Animal Kingdom was first.
Their HUGE tree fits their HUGE lobby.
The finish on the floor was wonderfully shiny.
The tree matches the African feel of the hotel. The colors and textures are wonderful.
The lodge sports a fire pit in the lobby.
The stores sport trees of their own. Again, their theming is fitting and unique to the Lodge.
While we were here, we decided to grab a bite to eat the the resort's counter service restaurant, The Mara. The last time we ate here, the food was divine! I had the African Stew, which knocked my socks off. Now that I'm not eating meat, I wonder what yummy nibble I can find.
Steve got the special turkey sandwich. It was on focaccia bread, had a special sun-dried tomato mayonnaise, kalamata olives and watercress. Oh, and turkey. Steve liked. ![]() I hit the jackpot. I ordered the falafel (think meatballs but made from beans) sandwich and couscous salad. It was crazy delish.
Steve found jalapenos on the "fixing" bar. He got some incase the sandwich needed a little doctoring. (It didn't, by the way.) ![]() So far, so good. ![]() Oh, noes! |
