TPS Report
(retro edition)
Allendale County Cooter Festival 2007

Did I happen to mention that this was the longest parade ever?

Maybe it wasn't but it sure as hell felt like it.

One person.  Two person.  Yup, looks like the whole Allendale division of the
United Way made it out to the parade.  Oooh, and they were tossing candy out.

How many licks does it take to...oh screw it.  I hate Tootsie Roll Pops.

Um, are these three women the only survivors they could find?
They haven't got enough members to be in a relay team...

I have no clue why the hell these people are here.
There's a lot of that in this parade.

And again, one member short of an actual Relay team.  I guess that's the Carolina Style?

The daycare has its own float?

It's a long parade, so some folks brought a chair in case they got tired.
Not everyone followed the example of the Lowcountry Healthy Start people...

Here's a recurring theme - people carrying signs for deceased friends and family.
That surely adds to the festive spirit of a parade, right?

Just because they used a marker doesn't make it a "good" sign.

Great, looks like USC brought out their wicked pickup truck.

The hand says "hello!"
The expressions says "coming up next on Nancy Grace..."

And as promised, there's the Hardee's sign.

I guess I'm motivating the hell out of this parade...

WTF?
Somewhere, Grandma isn't getting to her dialysis session.

This pickup truck wins the clown car competition.

Is the parade over now?

Here's someone just randomly waving.  They didn't
even go to the trouble of trying to make a sign...

Black magic markers, folks.  It makes a difference.
