Only idiots go to parks Memorial Day weekend.
Sometimes it's fun to be an idot.
We took off Friday and hit the road to Virginia.

Karen preps her Platinum Pass for the gate folks at the park.
I was under the impression that Platinum passholders only got premium parking in the parks that are in the state the pass was issued (so for this, we'd get it for just BGT and SWO). Nope. They didn't bat an eye and they hooked us up with the premium. It is definitely worth it at this park - them tram rides suck.
If there's one thing I like more about BGT, it's all the animal areas. With the exception of the eagles, wolves, and Clydesdales, there really isn't a lot of wild animals on display at BGW. Oh, shit. My bad. Apparently they have a walrus exhibit.

Holy long lines, Batman! It only got longer as the day progressed. Only total idiots would get in a line this long.

On the one hand, Griffon is a giant eyesore. On the other hand, she sure is pretty looking.
That's the Griffon knight. He basically wandered around a bit, helping people figure out where the hell the end of the gianormous line was.
